It turns out you do well in the things that you enjoy... who'da thunk? In a nice turn of fate, I am actually doing really well in all of my classes... 'A' material. Prior to these years, I was just scraping to get a passing grade but now I actually want to succeed.
I like the turn my life has taken. I always wondered when my choices were going to show me some results and, indeed, they have. Of course there is still the occasional mishap and, granted, those can be pretty hefty. But I've learned that you can't win everything and sometimes you just got to get over it. They didn't name me "Most Optimistic" for nothing... I have a rep to uphold.
My college kid "self-discovery" journey thing is coming to and end despite the fact that I still have two years to go. But I kind of just want to lay those years out nice and neat. I guess anything was better than the weekly mental breakdowns and tear-rearing episodes of discontent. Life comes at you suddenly but all's well in the end. I'm thoroughly pleased.
Now, adieu... I must get my full eight hours of sleep if I am to function.
