Moss Investigations? Has a nice ring to it...

So I get in these modes where I get really, really obsessed with a tv show... last quarter it was Merlin (Series 4 is coming...), over Winter Break it was Buffy... now?  VERONICA MARS.  I swear, I freakin love this girl... Maybe I just love shows with a strong, witty, female protagonist.  Maybe I have this underlying want to be just as awesome as they seem to be.  Whatever it is, I love this show.  I had never watched the first season so it was a new experience for me.  Quite an amazing one I might add.

"I fell asleep watching Veronica Mars again..."

But anywho... I want to be a Private Investigator/Super Cop.  So legit.  Solving crimes, getting the men all hung up on you.  Hey, it's a living.  But yes, I most likely will never be that cool so I'll just settle for dreaming.  And I must tell you, LOGAN + VERONICA FOREVER.  I am truly not a Duncan fan.  Too bleh for my taste.  Logan has that sexy bad boy thing going for him.  A girl can respect that.

Oh, but if my life were a tv show... "...and all the men and women merely players."

Frolicking Nonsense

After having to take the bus to and from places these past couple of days, I've come to really enjoy it.  Of course this in no way replaces my car... my Elizabeth will be fixed by next week (yes, my car's name is Elizabeth as in the II not the I).  All I am saying is that the time waiting for the bus and the planning around it has really made me on top of things.  I mean, I'm reading my textbooks at the bus stop, while on the bus, and walking to and from the stop (probably because I don't have anything better to do).  I'm like legit.  I don't know whether I should take it more often or just find more time to actually study but I'm liking this new me.  I actually get crap done.  Motivation, motivation, motivation.  Hopefully by repeating this several times it will sink into my brain.

Oh and BT dubs... did y'all see that new BD pic?  SEX.  No.  Literally, sex.  I'm not gonna lie to you, I was fangirling pretty hard about it.

But all in all, I'm trying to bring some optimism into this sometimes crappy, unforgiving world.

The Law of Murphy

Until recently I actually had no idea what Murphy's Law was and I can't quite remember when I first heard it.  But as of now I am a firm believer in this concept.  Everything seems to be going good and dandy in my life and then suddenly, one thing after another, everything seems to go wrong.  Maybe the universe has just got it out for me....

"Hey, Adrienne.  You've lived a pretty good and honest life, I'm gonna screw it all up."
"Well thank you Universe!  I love crying myself to sleep at night!"

"Most Optimistic" in high school my butt....

Whether it be the people in my life or the crappy crap (Yeah, I'm clever) that seems to follow me wherever I go... I can't catch a break.

I think hermits have it right.  One mental breakdown after another.... Sometimes, I think that route might not be so crazy.  SERIOUSLY.

Well, to anyone who reads this keep in mind, "Anything that can possibly go wrong, will go wrong."

Teen Fixion Fixation

Yes.  I am a teen novel reader.  I am 20 years old.  But quite honestly I love teen novels.  Sometimes they're a lot better than any adult novel I've ever read.  I mean, you've got great characters, romance, good storyline... all the elements of a good novel... it's just about teens.

But as of late I haven't really seen any GOOD teen fiction.  I think the last good novel I read was Clockwork Angel (AMAZING!).  But every book I've picked up since then I'm just like "Seriously?  This is what you think teenagers do?  You think they're interested in this crap?"  I mean, come on... I'm sure if any of those authors stepped into a high school nowadays they would be sorely surprised.  I think some people just want to make a quick buck so they write a teen book and publish it.  NO, NO, NO.  That's not the way to do it.  At least find out what teenagers are interested in if you're going to do that.  Most kids who pick up a book do not want to hear about a snotty cheerleader falling in love with an emo boy.  An emo boy might want to read that... but not the rest of the teenage population.  Please, someone intrigue me.  WRITE ME A GOOD TEEN BOOK!  Or at least recommend some... 'cause right now I don't have anything to read!

And Now I Depend On My Sense Of Adventure..

New obsession is Broke City and Broadway Calls... I love raiding my bros iTunes.

I used to be the biggest music fanatic.  Stupid college has altered my ways... I miss going to shows and rocking out every other week.  Oh, my teenage emo days...  I miss making friends in crowds and getting shoved every which way.  Oh the good ol' days when my hair was cut short and choppy and my eyeliner was black and smeared.  Band shirts were a staple and Chuck's were worn thin.  There was little space on my walls because of my band posters and ticket stubs.  Warped Tour was to me what Comic Con is to geeks.  Moth to the flame it was... Other girls cared about I wonder what it's going to be like in 20 years... all the music I listen to now will become classic rock.  WTF?

Other girls were in love with Chad Michael Murray and Patrick Dempsey.  This was what was on the front of my binder:
